Responsibilities
Integrate the School’s Core Values of Integrity, Service, Respect, Excellence and Teamwork in all aspects of interaction.
Support the educational process to meet or exceed budgeted expectations in the areas of staff, guest and student retention, recruitment and consistency.
Ensure the school facility is conducive to fostering an effective environment for education, as measured by student and co-worker attendance, graduation, implementation of prescribed curriculum and state licensing success rate.
Actively participate in the recruiting and hiring process of co-workers to ensure the standards of the Company are maintained.
Mentor, assess and affect the performance of instructional and support staff in order to ensure the quality of the overall operational performance of the school facility.
Oversee and monitor the timely, accurate inventory and ordering of dispensary and retail supplies to support the educational and operational processes of the school facility.
Facilitate the admission process in a manner consistent with the direction from the Vice President of Admissions.
Support Company growth through constructive interaction, personal attendance and staff attendance at meetings, events and other related functions.
Maintain the integrity of all academic policies and regulations; interpreting the same to students, faculty, staff, and external customers.
Adhere to all statutes and regulations from Federal, State, and regulatory agencies, and adhere to all Company policies.
Provide additional support to Company as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Associates or Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Graduate of accredited cosmetology school; two+ years related experience
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common industry-related journals, documents such as financial reports, operating and maintenance instructions, and policy and procedure manuals.
Ability to clearly communicate procedures, policies, and other information verbally, in writing and⁄or by demonstration⁄presentation, to students, staff, and⁄or management.
Ability to collaborate effectively with departments and cross-functional teams.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, students, staff, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to define problems; collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Proven record of successful supervisory experience in a people-oriented environment.
A positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to change.
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Ability to utilize computer hardware and software, such as CampusVue software, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Appointment Book, Point of Sale, Time Clock, Inventory Software, and to be able to interpret the information generated.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job the associate is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The associate is regularly required to stand and⁄or walk for long periods. The associate is occasionally required to sit; or balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The associate is regularly required to lift up to 5 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision.
